List of products by brand GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI DESIGN

Born in Italy, Giuseppe Zanotti is known for designing contemporary, cutting-edge and trendy shoes. In his words, his styles are emotional, sexy and feminine. The designer started his career in fashion in the 1980s, working first with local craftsmen and soon becoming a freelancer for fashion houses like Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Dior, Thierry Mugler, Ferré, and Valentino. Prior to becoming a great shoe designer, Zanotti was a Disc Jockey. In 1994, he had sufficient resources to take over a small shoe manufacturing company. In 2000, Zanotti opened his first fashion store in Milan and then boutiques opened up in major cities of the world, such as London, Stockholm, New York, Moscow, Paris, Dubai and elsewhere. He has designed shoes for brands, counting Thakoon Panichgul, Delfina Delettrez, Proenza Schouler, Vera Wang, Christopher Kane, and Pierre Balmain. His collections include designs for fashionable men as well. His designs are worn by several celebrities, including Astrid Munoz, Melissa Satta, Isabelle Funaro, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Charlize Theron, Uma Thurman, Cameron Diaz, Alek Wek, Alicia Keys, Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson, Sarah Marshall, Ashanti, Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell, Drew Barrymore, Mariah Carey, Elle McPherson, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and many more. A shoe with the Giuseppe Zanotti name on it is truly a piece of art, hand-crafted from start to finish. Each pair even has its own file containing production information such as materials used and the measure of manpower estimated to create it. Steep prices are the result of the high quality construction, and all of the handmade elements that are intrinsic to each style from hand-stitched embroidery to elaborate adornments like Swarovski crystals glued on one by one. Any fan of his shoes will notice that Giuseppe has always had a predilection for bejeweled footwear, but what has become his signature look today may have been a hurdle in the beginning. He was told early on that “jewels were for the neck and not for putting on shoes.” Lucky for us he pursued his passion. When asked what he loves about designing his shoes, Giuseppe is quoted as saying “The design of a shoe is like a piece of music. Each piece is like a note, but all together they create something beautiful…or something horrible. When I finish a collection I always feel very sad. I want to destroy everything and try new things. You design a pair of shoes and you love them for three seconds and then they’re history,” he says. “I am always trying to find my new story.”
